Pregnancy is fleeting. In a few short months your body will have changed again, and this moment, the curve, the glow, the quiet anticipation, will be a memory. Most women tell us they wish they had more than a handful of phone pictures to remember it by.
Maternity boudoir is a private, unrushed experience in our Broad Street studio, built entirely around you and your comfort. Not a record of a pregnancy. A celebration of the woman you are as you step into motherhood.

Your wardrobe
Lace, silk, soft fabric, or nothing at all.
There are no rules for what you wear. A lingerie set, a flowing gown, a sheer fabric drape, your partner's shirt left open, or simply your skin. It all depends on what feels most like you.
Your styling guide arrives as soon as you book, with ideas that look beautiful in artwork, and we plan your looks together beforehand so nothing is left to the morning of.

You are welcomed at the studio and shown around, with something cool to drink waiting. We talk through your vision, your looks, and what you would love to feel when you leave.
No rushing. Only three women each week, so the day belongs to you.

Professional hair and makeup.
An hour with our professional hair and makeup artist, bringing the most luminous version of you to the surface. While you are in the chair, Ashley talks through every look for the day.
Natural and glowing, or editorial and bold. Tell us, and we work to it.

Your experience. Guided every step.
You do not need to have done anything like this before. Ashley directs every moment with warmth and patience, adapting every pose to keep you comfortable, with breaks whenever you need them.
Just you, Ashley, and the space to be entirely yourself.

The reveal. The moment everything changes.
At your private viewing and design consultation you see your artwork for the first time and choose your collection. It leaves the studio wrapped in our signature ribbon.

When should I have my maternity experience?
Between 28 and 36 weeks is ideal. Your bump is beautifully defined, and you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the day. With only three women photographed each week, we recommend reaching out early in your pregnancy so we can hold the right date for you.
Will I be comfortable during the experience?
Your comfort comes first. Every pose is adapted for pregnancy, the studio is warm and private, and you can take a break whenever you need one. If you have any concerns about your pregnancy, check with your midwife before your day, and let us know anything we should plan around.
What should I wear or bring?
Bring more than you think you need. Lingerie, a flowing gown, a soft fabric drape, an oversized shirt, and anything with meaning attached to it, perhaps a scan picture or a tiny first outfit. A full preparation guide comes to you once you book, and we plan your looks together beforehand so nothing is left to the morning of.
Will anyone else see my artwork?
No, not unless you want them to. Nothing is shared publicly without your written permission, and permission is asked separately for every single image. If you would prefer to be photographed with your face out of frame, in silhouette, or entirely anonymously, tell us on your discovery call and we will photograph you that way from the start.
How much should I expect to invest?
The studio experience fee is £250 and covers everything on your day. Your artwork is chosen separately at your design consultation. Collections range from £500 to £4,500. Interest-free payment plans are available as a convenience, agreed with you at your design consultation. We talk through investment fully on your discovery call.

Where to find us, and who we celebrate.
Bath Boutique Studio is a private boudoir photography studio on Broad Street, in the centre of Bath. Everything happens under one roof, the hair and makeup, the experience itself, and the reveal, so you are never moved between locations or handed between people.
We welcome mothers to be from Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds. We take only three boudoir experiences each week, so the studio, and the day, belong entirely to one woman at a time.
