Is a boudoir experience right for someone like me?

Most likely, yes, and here is who tends to be here. Women, usually between their mid forties and early sixties, at a point where something has changed. A long chapter closed, the children left, a career ended, an illness is behind you, or you have simply arrived somewhere you worked hard to reach.

You are not in the middle of the storm. You are on the other side of it and rebuilding, and you want evidence of the woman who got through it. Some women come to celebrate. Some come to reclaim something they set down years ago.

Both belong here.

What does a boudoir experience at Bath Boutique Studio cost?

The session fee is £250. It holds your date and covers your professional hair and makeup, your guided experience and your private design consultation.

Artwork is chosen afterwards, once you have seen yourself. Collections range from £900 to £4,000, and most women invest around £1,900. A single Statement Piece for your wall is £900. The Brilliance Collection, fifteen images in a Treasure Box, is £1,900, with additional images at £100 each. Wall art collections, where several pieces are designed together for one wall, are £3,500, and larger arrangements go to £4,000. Payment plans are available over three months as a convenience.

What is included?

Your session fee covers professional hair and makeup, a fully guided experience in a private studio with nobody else booked, and a design consultation where you see your artwork properly.

Artwork is chosen separately at that consultation. Wall art is a finished piece ready to hang. Collections come in a Treasure Box or a premium album. Digital images are available alongside your artwork rather than instead of it. Print products take around eight weeks from the day you order, and I will tell you the date.

What is included that does not appear on a list: a conversation before the day where somebody asks you questions nobody has asked in years. That is the part women mention afterwards.

How far ahead should I book?

Two weeks ahead is ideal, and I need a minimum of seven days. I photograph three women a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays, so dates are genuinely limited rather than artificially so.

If your artwork is for a specific occasion, an anniversary, a birthday, Christmas, work back roughly three months, because artwork takes around eight weeks to make once you have chosen it. Dates can be held up to six months ahead.

Valentine's and Christmas dates fill first. Early autumn is when to call for those.

I do not photograph well and I am not confident. What if I freeze?

Almost every woman says one of those sentences to me first. It is close to universal and it is the reason the experience is built the way it is.

You are not expected to arrive confident. Two hours of hair and makeup while we talk, then a fully guided experience where I tell you exactly what to do with your hands, your chin and your weight. You will not need to know how to pose.

Women who tell me on the phone that they hate every photograph of themselves are often the ones who choose wall art at the end. If that is you, it is not a reason to wait. It is the reason to come.

Will anyone else see my artwork?

No, not unless you want them to. Nothing is shared publicly without your written permission, and permission is asked separately for every single image.

Plenty of women are photographed here and never appear anywhere. That is completely normal and it changes nothing about the experience. The women you see on this website chose to be here and were delighted to be asked.

If you would prefer to be photographed with your face out of frame, in silhouette, or entirely anonymously, say so on your discovery call and we will shoot it that way from the start. Your images are held securely and your materials are stored for thirty days from your session date.

The course question five is two fears in one line. Splitting it into two headings is faithful to the intent and reads better for answer engines, which match on a single question at a time.

Why should I choose you over a cheaper photographer?

Honestly, you might not, and that is fine. There are two models here and they suit different women.

The first is built around delivering digital files. Usually a lower price, planning focused on sets and the number of images captured, and a folder of edited photographs at the end. Many women never print them. If digital files are what you want, another photographer will serve you better and I would rather say so now.

The second is what I do. It begins with a discovery call about your life rather than your outfit. The experience is shaped around what came out of that conversation. It ends with finished artwork designed for a particular wall in your home.

What you are choosing is not more photographs. It is walking past yourself every morning and remembering who you are.

Neither model is wrong. The point is to work out which outcome you actually want.

Will it genuinely be worth it?

That depends entirely on what you value.

If value means image count, I am not the best value in Bath and I will say that plainly. A woman who wants the maximum number of files for the lowest figure is better served elsewhere.

If value means how you feel about yourself for the next ten years, the comparison changes completely.
