You arrive at the studio and are welcomed in. We take time to talk through your vision for the day before you spend an hour with our professional hair and makeup artist. Then your experience begins, with Ashley directing every moment. The same day or at a separate appointment, you have your private viewing and design consultation where you see your images for the first time and choose your collection.

The whole day is unhurried and entirely private. Only three women are photographed each week.

Almost every woman who books says exactly that. First-timers often have the most powerful experience of all, because nothing about it is what they expected. You do not need confidence going in. That is what the experience gives you.

The studio is completely private for the duration of your experience. There are no other clients, no other bookings on the same day, and no interruptions. A professional hair and makeup artist is present during the preparation stage. Beyond that, the experience is between you and Ashley.

The experience day itself typically takes between three and five hours depending on the number of looks and how the day flows. There is no clock watching and no rushing. The design consultation takes place the same day or can be booked separately if you prefer time to process your images first.

Bath Boutique Studio is at 35 Broad Street, Bath, BA1 5LP, in the heart of Bath city centre. There is parking nearby and the studio is a short walk from Bath Spa train station. Full directions and parking information are sent with your booking confirmation.

That is exactly why we do this. The hair and makeup, the posing direction, the lighting, the patience, all of it exists because most women believe they do not photograph well until they see themselves through this lens. You bring yourself. Ashley takes care of the rest.

We send a full preparation guide once you book and talk through your looks together beforehand. Many women bring a mix of lingerie, an oversized shirt, something meaningful to them. We have a studio wardrobe available too. There are no wrong answers, only what feels right for you.

Completely. Ashley notices nerves early and names them with warmth, normalising how you feel without making it a focus. Most women say that within twenty minutes of arriving they had completely forgotten to be nervous. The studio is calm, private, and there is nothing expected of you except your presence.

No. Ashley has photographed women from their twenties to their seventies, across every shape and size. The experience works because of who the woman is, not what she looks like by anyone else's standard. If you are wondering whether this is for you, that wondering is usually the answer.

No, not unless you want them to. Nothing is shared publicly without your written permission, and permission is asked separately for every single image. Plenty of women are photographed here and never appear anywhere, and that is completely normal. If you would prefer to be photographed with your face out of frame, in silhouette, or entirely anonymously, say so on your discovery call and we will photograph you that way from the start.

The studio, the hair and makeup, the direction, the artwork, and the transformation are all identical. The only difference is what you wear. Beauty portraits are fully clothed, in your own clothes, styled the way you choose. The right one is simply the one that feels right for you.

Whatever makes you feel most like yourself at your best. Most women bring two or three outfits. We send a full preparation guide once you book and talk through your looks in advance. There are no wrong choices, only ones that feel right.

No. It is designed for any two people whose connection deserves to be permanently recorded. That includes romantic partners, but also a mother and daughter, two best friends, or any two people marking the depth of their bond. If the love runs deeper than words, this experience is for it.

Yes. The £250 studio experience fee covers both partners, including professional hair and makeup for both. It is not a per-person fee.

A standard headshot appointment produces a headshot. This is a private, guided experience built around your brand and the woman behind it, with professional hair and makeup, expert direction across several looks, and a portrait reveal where you choose your three finished digital portraits. The result is not a better headshot. It is a completely different category of image.

The Personal Branding Experience is £590, one flat investment. It covers your discovery consultation, professional hair and makeup, your styling guide, a fully guided private experience, your portrait reveal, and three finished digital portraits licensed for your website, LinkedIn and marketing. If you would like more once you have seen yourself, additional portraits and artwork can be chosen at your reveal.

With a free brand-photo audit. Send us your LinkedIn profile or website through the form on our personal branding page and Ashley will send you a short, honest audit of how your current images are working for your brand, within 48 hours.

If you are a VAT-registered business owner, your Personal Branding Experience, and any additional portraits or artwork, can be invoiced to your business. Portraits for professional use are a recognised business expense. We provide a full VAT invoice on request. Always confirm with your own accountant, as eligibility depends on your individual circumstances.

The studio experience fee is £250 and covers the full day including professional hair and makeup. Your artwork is chosen separately at your private design consultation, once you have seen your images. Artwork and Collections range from £900 to £4,500. Wall art collections range from £2,000 to £4,500 depending on the size of the collection. The Diamond Collection is £2,000 for fifteen hand-matted fine art prints in your Treasure Box, and The Brilliance Collection is £1,600 for six hand-matted fine art prints in a presentation box. A single Statement Piece is £900, and additional matted prints are £100 each.

Wall art collections are curated arrangements of large-format statement pieces, each named for a corner of Bath: The Abbey, The Assembly and The Pulteney at £2,000, The Roman and The Circus at £2,600, and The Royal Crescent, The Georgian and The Holborne at £4,500. The Diamond Collection is fifteen hand-matted 11x14 fine art prints in your signature Treasure Box at £2,000. The Brilliance Collection is six hand-matted 11x14 fine art prints in a presentation box at £1,600. Additional matted prints are £100 each. The Statement Piece is a single 16x24 inch wall art piece at £900. All are presented at your private design consultation and all leave the studio in our signature ribbon packaging.

Yes. Payment plans spread your collection investment across 0% interest monthly instalments for up to 12 months, with a minimum instalment of £200 per month, arranged at your design consultation. They are available as a convenience, not a workaround. Your collection is held securely and delivered in full once the final payment is made.

The £250 experience fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. It secures your private date and covers everything included in your experience day. Rescheduling is available with at least 5 days notice. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.

Print products are delivered within eight weeks of your design consultation order. Digital galleries are delivered within 30 days of your experience. An expedited option is available for an additional £75.

We ask for a minimum of seven days between booking and your experience. We book up to six months in advance. Only three women are photographed each week, so dates do book ahead. The discovery call is the first step and costs nothing. From there we find a date that works for you.

You are welcome to reschedule with at least 5 days notice. Your new date must be chosen within 24 hours and fall within 90 days of your original booking.

Experiences take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. Start times are 10:30am or 3:30pm. Your exact time will be confirmed at booking.

The experience is designed to be private and unhurried for you. For the Soulmates experience, both partners are of course present throughout. For individual experiences, we kindly ask that guests are not present while you are being photographed, as this allows you to relax fully and be completely yourself in the space.

The first step is a discovery call, a relaxed 15-minute conversation with Ashley. There is no obligation and no pressure. From there, if you would like to proceed, the experience fee of £250 secures your date. For personal branding, the £590 investment secures your date.
