Why I believe in prints you can hold

So many women tell me, “I just want the digitals.” I understand why. A file feels easy to share, to send to a friend or to post online. But as a photographer, it pains me to think of a portrait that celebrates you sitting on a USB stick, filed away in a drawer and, if you are lucky, not lost or forgotten.

I love nothing more than looking through the prints from my own childhood and from the generations before me. You can hold them, pass them around and feel the moment all over again. That is what I want for every woman who comes to the studio.
