More than a portrait experience
This is uninterrupted time together. Room to laugh, to lean in close, to be fully present with one another.
Years from now, these will not simply be photographs. They will be the moment you both stopped and looked at each other.
Mother and daughter portraits are photographed at our private studio on Broad Street, in the centre of Bath, with mothers and daughters travelling in from across Bath, Bristol and Somerset.
What is included
A short call, just us. After you reserve your spot we talk it through together, so I already know what makes your daughter her before you arrive.
The portrait experience. A relaxed, fully guided session in the studio. You are directed every step of the way.
Your private viewing, the same day. After your session you have half an hour to yourselves — go and get a coffee — while Ashley prepares your images. Then you come back and see them together. No second trip, no waiting a fortnight.
An 8×10 fine art matted print. Your favourite portrait, matted and ready to frame, included in your session fee.
At your viewing you will see the full set of portraits, and choose whether you would like digital images or artwork for your walls. Those are separate from the session fee — collections start at £450.

A reminder of the bond between you. Not tucked away on a phone, but somewhere you both walk past and feel it, every single day.

I create portrait experiences designed to capture connection, not just appearance. I will guide you through every part of it, so all the two of you need to do is enjoy the time together.

The session fee is £75. That covers your 50 minute session, your same-day viewing, and one 8×10 fine art matted print to take home. Digital images and wall artwork are chosen at your viewing, and start at £450.
Your 8×10 fine art matted print is included and yours to keep. Everything else — digital files, prints, wall art — is chosen at your viewing afterwards.
No. Your 8×10 print is included and there is no obligation beyond the session fee. Most mothers do choose more once they see the portraits, and collections start at £450 — but that is entirely your decision, made after the shoot, never before.

Allow around two hours from arrival. Your session itself is about 50 minutes including changing. You then have roughly half an hour free while Ashley prepares your portraits — most mothers and daughters walk into town for a coffee — before coming back to see them together. Please do not book anything straight afterwards; the viewing is the part everyone remembers.
There is no age this works best at. We photograph mothers with daughters of every age, including grown-up daughters photographing with their own mothers.

Being straight with you about cost
Your £75 books the studio, the time, the guidance and your 8×10 print. It is genuinely yours to keep, and if that is all you ever want, that is completely fine.
Most mothers want more than one photograph. At your viewing you will see everything we made together and choose the images you want to live with — as digital files, or as artwork for your walls. Collections start at £450.
Nothing is decided in advance and nothing is pressured on the day. But we would rather you knew the shape of it before you booked than felt caught out afterwards.
