Why I’m a Boudoir Photographer: My Journey into Empowering Women Through the Lens
People often ask me, “Why boudoir?” The truth is, my journey into photography—and specifically into boudoir—was deeply personal.
I didn’t grow up dreaming of being behind the camera. I found photography at a time when I was searching for something more—something creative, something meaningful, and something that made women feel seen. I started by photographing families and portraits, but there was always one moment that stood out: when a woman truly saw herself for the first time in a photo and said, “Is that really me?”
That spark—that shift in confidence—lit something in me. I realised that boudoir wasn’t just about beautiful images. It was about transformation. About self-worth. About reclaiming how we see ourselves in a world that’s always trying to tell us we’re not enough.
I opened Bath Boutique Studio to create a space where women of all ages, shapes, and life stages could feel safe, celebrated, and powerful. It’s not about being “sexy” for someone else. It’s about honouring your own journey, body, and confidence—on your terms.
Every session is an opportunity to tell a story—your story. And every time a client leaves standing taller, smiling wider, and feeling more in love with herself, I’m reminded exactly why I chose this path.
So, if you’ve ever thought, “I could never do a shoot like that,” I want you to know—you absolutely can. And I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.
Ready to experience it for yourself? Book your shoot with Bath Boutique Studio and let’s create something beautiful—just for you.
